Working Together 2 (WT2) is a unique community and conference that takes a fresh look at a seemingly intractable challenge; harnessing scalable innovation in public service organisation.
Starting online and then transferring to the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) - equidistant from the UK's seat of administrative power in Whitehall and its creative hub in Soho - WT2 has been developed to generate connections and conversations.
WT2 will promote co-creation between the digital technology companies who are delivering groundbreaking innovations and public policy makers, those driving public service reform agenda and civic leaders.
Featuring a morning of speakers and panels followed by an afternoon of facilitated "conversations", "how to" sessions and demos, the aim of this event is to get people thinking about how we can do more to exploit the innovations that are being generated by pioneers working in emerging technologies in order to accelerate improvements in our public services.
To animate the event we will be kicking off with the following keynote speakers and topics:-
Peter Kellner - Chairman, YouGov (WT2 Event Chair)
George Osborne MP - Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer - on what the rise of social media means for the future of public services
Anthony Lilley - CEO, Magic Lantern - on how private/public sector partnerships can and do work
William Heath - Founder and Chairman, Kable Ltd. - on e-government and technology; what works and what doesn't
Mark O'Neill - CIO, DCMS - on current Government policy towards procurement innovation
Jonathan Peachey - Partner, Digital Public - The world as it will be, not as it was
WT2 is for those with an interest in public service reform, public policy innovation and how technology can be harnessed to support these goals.
WT2 is not a "run of the mill" conference. It has been designed to foster new relationships, to initiate "conversations" and to forge meaningful change. Unlike most conferences all participants will be able to upload a profile, post blog messages and share content and ideas in advance of the event at a dedicated website www.working2gether.net.
The website will endure as a platform for innovation. learning and ongoing collaboration after the March 8th event.
Registration: £170 + VAT
